My framework in therapy is connection and compassion. I strive to create a warm, welcoming space where you can feel safe to express yourself fully. Whether I am working with children or adults, I encourage clients to be brave, curious, and kind to themselves as we explore life’s stressors. I believe trust and transparency are important to create a safe therapeutic connection and bring those values to every session.

I grew up in the Hampton Roads area and after a few years in Massachusetts, I am excited to be back home. I grew up in a military household so understand the worries and emotions that come with the frequent transitions life throws. I credit the many moves with my ability and interest in connecting with those around me. I enjoy meeting with clients, discussing the challenges in their lives, and celebrating the successes. I make a commitment to those I work with to be my authentic self and truly value the relationship we build.

I got my undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech (go Hokies!) and my Master of Social Work at Simmons College in Boston. I began my work in the domestic and sexual violence field in southwest Virginia and continued to work with survivors throughout my time in Massachusetts. I have substantial experience working with children, adolescents, and teens who have experienced trauma such as domestic or sexual violence, foster care involvement, and parental incarceration. Some of my past experiences include clinical training at Children’s Charter Trauma Clinic and Journey to Safety – both based in Massachusetts. I am currently certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and have prior certification in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP).

I typically work with children, adolescents, teens (2-18 years old), and young adults using play, art, and traditional talk therapy depending on each client’s needs and experiences. I also enjoy working with new parents or households that have a newly become a single parent family in strengthening connection between parent and child. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the beach, boxing, and watching reality tv.
