✨ Welcome

Everyone deserves to live as their fullest, most empowered self—and sometimes, we just need the right support to get there. I offer a warm, open, and non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s holding you back and begin to heal from the inside out. Whether you’re navigating trauma, shame, stress, or major life transitions, therapy with me is a place to feel seen, supported, and encouraged.

I believe in the power of reframing—how small shifts in how we see ourselves and our experiences can make a big difference. And yes, we’ll do hard work together, but we’ll also laugh when it feels right—because joy is part of healing, too.

I Work With Those Who Experience…

  • Emotional instability and rapidly changing emotions
  • Relational instability- new or a history of unhealthy relationships
  • Shame, self-esteem, and self-worth issues
  • Identity questions and concerns
  • Grief & loss- sudden, complicated, or anticipatory
  • Teens with trauma experiences, anxiety, and relational difficulties
  • Challenges in your 20’s and 30’s – adulting and life transitions
  • Challenges navigating life transitions in your 40s, 50s, and beyond
  • Childhood & adulthood trauma (emotional, physical, or sexual)
  • Cultural trauma/ Intergenerational Trauma
  • Secondary or vicarious trauma – helping professionals and caregiver support
  • Victimization and recovery from crime
  • Re-entry after incarceration

πŸ’¬ What Therapy Feels Like in My Office

Come as you are. My office is a space where you can speak freely, move at your own pace, and feel at ease. You’re welcome to bring grounding objects, dress comfortably, and be yourself—because therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical to be effective. I want you to leave each session feeling just a little lighter, more confident, and more connected to your strengths.

🧭 My Approach to Therapy

I use a client-centered, trauma-informed lens to guide our work together. I’m here to help you process the hard stuff, reframe negative thought patterns, and build emotional tools that support healing, growth, and self-trust.

My approach combines:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
  • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Humanistic & Psychodynamic elements
  • Psychoeducation on trauma and addiction

We’ll blend traditional talk therapy with strategies that help you feel more in control of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—while honoring your lived experience.

πŸŽ“ Credentials & Certifications

  • Licensed Therapist
  • EMDR Basic Trained
  • ASAM Certified (Addiction-focused care)

πŸ’‘ Why I Became a Therapist

After spending over a decade working in the criminal justice system, I saw the deep impact that trauma, shame, and lack of support had on individuals and communities. Originally, I planned to pursue law and social work together—but my passion for helping people heal led me fully into the mental health field.

I believe in the life-changing power of support, and I’m honored to walk alongside my clients as they reclaim their stories and discover their strength.

🌿 Outside the Therapy Room

When I’m not working, you can find me:

  • Traveling and exploring new countries and cultures
  • Spending time with my family
  • Cooking and watching reality TV
  • Expressing myself through fashion and attending concerts & music festivals (I’m a proud Beyoncé fan!)

If I weren’t a therapist, I’d probably be a lawyer—because my heart has always been drawn to advocacy and justice.

I believe one of the most powerful tools we have in life is our voice. When people feel unheard, unseen, dismissed, or emotionally silenced, it can deeply impact self-worth, relationships, and emotional wellness. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, supportive space where individuals feel seen, valued, and empowered to heal. Our work together can also help clients find their voice, reclaim their sense of self, overcome their stuck points, and move through situations holding them back.

When one seeks out therapy, I believe they are saying that they want a change. Sometimes we need someone to listen and ask questions so that the processing of thoughts and feelings can be done in a nonjudgmental way. The answers come from within and I am just a guide along the healing journey.

I believe in the therapeutic process and consider it to consist of many forms. Each person is so unique and has their own story to tell in their own unique way and in their own time. The one thing I say to my clients in every first session, is, it starts with you. You choosing to show up to your appointment, you choosing to seek out support, encouragement, advice, a listening ear.
