Treatment Philosophy
I believe everyone has the ability to grow, heal, and create meaningful change in their lives. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but it can also become one of the most rewarding steps toward personal growth. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, empowered, and confident navigating life’s challenges. Together, we’ll work at your pace to help you feel more grounded and capable in facing whatever comes your way.

Who I Work With
I work with teens and adults seeking support with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, women’s issues, and life transitions. I also support individuals exploring gender and identity, navigating grief and loss, managing relationship and family communication challenges, and coping with everyday stressors. Additionally, I have experience working with disordered eating, body image concerns, and building emotion regulation and distress tolerance skills.

What Therapy Looks Like in My Office
Therapy with me is a collaborative and personalized experience. I encourage you to show up as your authentic self and take ownership of your story while we move at a pace that feels right for you. I also incorporate grounding and mindfulness techniques to support emotional regulation and help you build practical tools you can use in everyday life. It’s fine to laugh and cry in my office with no judgment.

Why I Became a Counselor
My path to counseling began with a background in sociology, where I developed a deep understanding of how factors like race, class, gender, and socioeconomic status shape individual experiences. Over time, I saw the powerful impact that even one hour of feeling heard and validated can have on someone’s life. I became a counselor to provide that space for individuals who may not have felt seen or supported elsewhere—so they can feel acknowledged, valued, and empowered to move forward.

My Treatment Theories and Approaches
I approach therapy with authenticity, transparency, and a person-centered mindset. I see you as the expert of your own experience, and my role is to support and guide you using evidence-based tools tailored to your goals. My work integrates techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches. I also incorporate somatic and mindfulness-based practices, psychoeducation, and creative interventions like art and games to help make skills more accessible and engaging no matter your age.

My Life Outside of Work
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy slowing down and spending time at home—often working on a new Lego set or relaxing with my dog. I’m a big fan of reality TV and love unwinding with a good show. I also enjoy traveling, attending concerts, and making memories with family and friends.

If I weren’t a counselor, I’d likely be a college advisor—helping others navigate their paths has always been something I’m passionate about.

Hobbies & Interests
In my free time, you can find me reading, exercising, exploring new restaurants, or checking out local coffee shops in Charlotte and beyond. I enjoy trying new experiences and finding small ways to stay curious and connected.

I believe one of the most powerful tools we have in life is our voice. When people feel unheard, unseen, dismissed, or emotionally silenced, it can deeply impact self-worth, relationships, and emotional wellness. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, supportive space where individuals feel seen, valued, and empowered to heal. Our work together can also help clients find their voice, reclaim their sense of self, overcome their stuck points, and move through situations holding them back.

When one seeks out therapy, I believe they are saying that they want a change. Sometimes we need someone to listen and ask questions so that the processing of thoughts and feelings can be done in a nonjudgmental way. The answers come from within and I am just a guide along the healing journey.

I believe in the therapeutic process and consider it to consist of many forms. Each person is so unique and has their own story to tell in their own unique way and in their own time. The one thing I say to my clients in every first session, is, it starts with you. You choosing to show up to your appointment, you choosing to seek out support, encouragement, advice, a listening ear.
