Stress is an experience that most of us are familiar with. However, sometimes we become disconnected and aren’t truly aware of how many stressors we have and the impact of the stress in our lives. Stress management starts with looking at your life and identifying sources of stress. Stress management can be worked on in therapy and outside of therapy. Some approaches that can be used in therapy sessions include: deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, and mindfulness exercises. However, it can be helpful to join one or more of our services in our Journey Movement that specifically address stress related symptoms.
