We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. – Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
For many, a spiritual foundation is the cornerstone of how we live our lives, raise our families, and find meaning in our lives. So when this foundation feels shaky, many of us question the strength of our faith to overcome life’s issues. Christian counseling can assist you with exploring your feelings, finding resolution with problems in your every day lives, and putting pain and suffering into perspective.
Faith is a strength, and for many people, it can be a source of hope and a grounding experience for them through the course of life. However, it is not uncommon for us to struggle with having our lives align with our Christian values. As a result, some may start to feel guilty, disconnected from God, possibly distance ourselves from sources of spiritual support, or don’t feel comfortable sharing our struggles due to fear of judgement or a lack of understanding from our Christian family members and friends.
Christian counseling at Whole Journey focuses on the mind-body-soul and spirit connection in your life. The service is what we like to refer to as “soul care.” It integrates faith-based values with psychosocial care and guidance. It is a safe, non-judgemental space to grow spiritually. Our service is provided by a reverend professionally trained in pastoral counseling. Although, the counselor is knowledgeable about a variety of denominations and religious affiliations, the overall approach is non-denominational and is not aimed at converting clients to a specific religious affiliation. This service does not aim to diagnose and treatment mental health issues.
