I have dedicated the majority of my career to promoting safe, healthy, and satisfying relationships for yourself and others. It is my hope to provide a safe space for individuals, couples and families, particularly in the LGBTQ+ community, who are navigating stressors and challenges that affect our individual and relational health. Counseling can be a safe place to discuss and explore difficult topics. Often times, there are no guarantees in life and that can make us feel out of control. I believe that when life sends us these unexpected curveballs, they are an opportunity to learn more about ourselves, how we relate to others, and grow out of difficult experiences. I see these challenges as moments to make sense out things in life and gain a new perspective. During our sessions, I hope we can collaborate on exploring aspects of life that may be connected to the stress we experience and negative patterns we slide into that keep us feeling stuck. Ultimately, I hope our time together will help you pursue a different path that is toward personal peace, enlightenment, and empowerment.
I enjoy using my PhD in counseling to teach others about the helping process. I am a certified facilitator in Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP) and Becoming Parents Program (BPP). It has been my passion to educate individuals on healthy, safe, and fulfilling relationships. To me, healthy relationships are about doing your part, making intentional decisions, and establishing a strong foundation built on love, consent, emotional, and physical safety. I believe this is a fundamental right for all human beings and I want to help any individual regardless of race, gender, or sexual/affectional orientation achieve that.
